is an Island event. It takes place every summer Saturday
morning next to the Islander store. It's worth getting
there early to snag locally grown organic produce, homemade
baked goods and fresh fish.
Sisters
Bountiful Mercantile • 2106 South Nugent
Road is a whimsical gallery presenting the work of many
local artists for exhibition and sale. Open 10:00 AM
- 6:00 PM Summer Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Ask about
outdoor music scheduled for the occasional Saturday.
Artist
Studios that are open to the public are marked
with signs. Others can be visited by appointment.
An Artists' Studio
Tour takes place on Memorial Day and Labor Day
weekend every year. Twenty to 25 potters, jewelers, painters,
sculptors and other artists will participate in these on
Saturday and Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Maps
are available at the Islander store and Sisters Bountiful

Island
Library • 2144 South Nugent Road, where
books, audio and videotapes, CDs, books-on-tape, and magazines
are available for check out. The library also sponsors
story times for the children. Open Thursday 2:30 PM
- 8:30 PM; Friday through Saturday, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
